Krystal Eason, Marketing Coordinator
Krystal is
responsible for coordinating the marketing of the organization, as well as
member services for the Heating Oil Program. This ranges from brand
management, advertising and outreach to ensuring members of
the Heating Oil Program are receiving all the benefits of membership. Krystal is a
graduate of Oklahoma State University where she studied marketing and
economics. When not at The Energy Co-op, she enjoys sewing, spending time with her
husband and teaching her dog new tricks.
Jossi Fritz-Mauer, Co-Director
Jossi
oversees the Biodiesel Distribution and Electricity Programs, making energy
purchasing decisions, negotiating contracts, and handling major financial
decisions for the organization. Under his leadership, The Energy Co-op has
grown to become one of the largest biodiesel distributors in SE
Pennsylvania, posting $4 MM in annual revenue, and been at the forefront of
continually offering members the most sustainable biodiesel available. The
Electricity Program is one of the most successful
and resilient competitive suppliers of retail electricity, having
continuously served our members with innovative renewable offerings for over
a decade. A graduate of Haverford College, Jossi works for The Energy
Co-op to ensure a more sustainable future through the expanded consumption
of renewable energy. When not working, he can be found saving the world and
running twice a day.
Alex
Fuller-Young, Electricity Program Manager
Alex
is responsible for managing and growing the electricity program. In this
role he works primarily to grow our membership of individuals and
institutions who choose our electricity products, which emphasize
Pennsylvania-based renewable energy sources. Alex also works to identify
and obtain the contracts for those energy sources. Alex has a passion for
sustainable energy as well as consumers’ potential to alter the energy mix
by choosing to buy renewable. Alex graduated from Colgate University where
he studied Environmental Economics. Alex is also a returned Peace Corps
volunteer, serving as an Environmental Education volunteer in Nicaragua.
Alex continues to dedicate time to sustainable development in Nicaragua
while also indulging in a plethora of pastimes from soccer to home brewing.
Shoshanna Grunwald, Manager of Membership & Administration
Shoshanna's primary focus is working with
our growing membership base, ensuring that their needs are being met and
issues addressed, and looking for opportunities to advance The Energy Co-op’s mission and get the word out. She also maintains the
organization's website and manages our IT needs. A graduate of Rutgers University, Shoshanna’s professional
interests include the cooperative movement,
and the environmental and economic sustainability of new urbanism. She also tries to
hike, play Frisbee, and read as much as she can.
Angela Kassahun, Co-Director
Angela oversees the entire heating oil
program, the largest heating oil cooperative in SE Pennsylvania with over
5,000 members, manages our supply partner contracts, and looks for more ways
to spread the word about The Energy Co-op advantage. Angela is a graduate of Temple
University and joined our team because of her interests in renewable,
affordable energy awarded by the power of group buying. In her spare time,
Angela enjoys cooking, camping and keeping it real.
Becky Strangfeld, Office Assistant
Becky provides
support for all three energy programs. She is responsible for providing
information to prospective and current members about our programs and what
we do at The Energy Co-op. She also assists with sending mail, answering phone
calls and responding to email inquiries as they arise. She recently
graduated from Messiah College with a degree in Politics. After working
hours, Becky enjoys small scale arts and crafts, watching movies and taking
naps.
John Wieme, Biodiesel Distribution Program Specialist
John manages the day-to-day
operations of the Biodiesel Distribution Program by maintaining inventories
of biodiesel and additives; ensuring quality control through regular and
seasonal laboratory testing; arranging and processing deliveries; and
reporting on grant deliverables. John is excited to be part of The
Energy Co-op and
to help expand and combine the benefits of group buying power and
sustainable energy. John graduated from The College of New Jersey where he
studied Biology and Secondary Education. Outside of The Energy Co-op, John plays
the drums, tries to bake at least once a week, likes to sew, and is
interested in science.
