Member-owned
Similar to credit unions and food co-ops, we are a member-owned, nonprofit
cooperative. This means that we are here for the
benefit our members, not outside stakeholders or investors. We consist of a
member-elected board, paid staff and 7600+ consumers in the five-county area.

The
United Nations has officially declared 2012 the
International Year of Cooperatives, with
the theme
"Cooperative Enterprises Build a Better World."
This is a great opportunity for us to celebrate how co-ops:
• Put people first
• Are innovators
• Form a global network of independent, local businesses owned by those we serve
