The Energy Co-op Congratulates 2018 SustainPHL Award Winners

August 17, 2018 – Philadelphia, PA – The Energy Cooperative Association of Pennsylvania (The Energy Co-op) today congratulates the winners of the 2018 sustainability awards made Thursday, August 16, 2018, at SustainPHL. SustainPHL is Philadelphia’s premier annual sustainability event that recognizes leaders who work to make a cleaner, greener Philadelphia.

Co-op executive director Damali Rhett was nominated for a “Mentor Award” for broadening the reach of sustainability education and deepening the knowledge within the community.  Philadelphia teacher Diane O’Fee Powers won the award in which environmental engineer Matthew Fritch was also nominated

The awards ceremony was held at WHYY-FM, NPR Philadelphia, located at 150 6th Street. SustainPHL is hosted by the Green Philly Blog, an online publication that helps raise sustainability awareness, and highlights news and current events in sustainability in Philadelphia.
