When did you start and what do you do at The Energy Co-op?
I joined The Energy Co-op in October 2025 as a Marketing Intern. In my role, I assist the Marketing Director with various projects and campaigns, helping to promote the Co-op’s mission and engage our community around renewable energy and sustainability.
Could you share more about your journey and your background that lead you here?
I’m currently a senior at Drexel University majoring in Marketing. Before joining The Energy Co-op, I gained hands-on experience through previous internships and co-ops in marketing, where I developed skills in digital media, analytics, and brand communication. I was drawn to The Energy Co-op because it combines my passion for marketing with a meaningful mission — advancing renewable energy and environmental awareness in my community.
What have you enjoyed about the work you have done so far?
I’ve really enjoyed getting to know the team and learning more about renewable energy and sustainability. Every day has been a chance to grow both professionally and personally. It’s inspiring to see how the Co-op’s values translate into real community action.
Tell us a very interesting fact about yourself that we don’t already know.
What do you like (or dislike!) the most about living in/around Philly?
One of my favorite things about Philly is the culture — especially the sports culture. The energy and pride people have for their teams are unmatched, and it really brings the city together. If I had to pick one downside, I’d say the traffic can definitely test your patience at times.
What song has been your JAM recently?
“Freestyle” by Rod Wave has been my go-to song lately — it’s on repeat most days.
What does sustainability mean to you and how do you put it into practice day to day?
To me, sustainability means making mindful choices that protect our environment and ensure future generations have the same opportunities to thrive. It’s about balance — meeting our needs today without compromising tomorrow. I try to put this into practice by being conscious of my energy use, reducing waste, and supporting organizations and initiatives like The Energy Co-op, that promote renewable and responsible energy solutions.
